  • Despite serving as the visiting team on the scoreboard the Setters scored three runs in the second and third to take the 6-0 lead.
  • The Yellow Jackets put a pair of runs up in the fourth. Rookie Jackson Haker singled to right and went to third on a double off the bat of classmate Kiernan Caffrey. Junior Chad Lavelle hit a flyout to right which allowed Haker to score and Caffrey to take third. The Setters exchanged an out for a run as Caffrey scored on a groundout.
  • Pace added an insurance run in the fifth and five in the seventh to extend its lead to 12-2.
  • In the bottom of the seventh, senior Brandon Gaul was the first Yellow Jacket to the plate and he wore a pitch. He came around to score on a bases-loaded walk to sophomore Michael Cruz.
  • It was not enough as the Setters added two in the eighth and one in the ninth to take the game 15-3.
