Offense sputters in Baseball's loss at Saint Leo
SAINT LEO, Florida - The American International College baseball team mustered just three hits in a 12-0, seven-inning setback at Saint Leo University on Thursday, March 13.
AIC is now 5-6 on the season.
Though Brendan Edvardsen led off with a single and AIC put two men on in the first, the Yellow Jackets did not score, and the Lions scored two unearned in the bottom half of the frame. Yeudy Ramirez led off the second with a single and steal, but again AIC did not convert the scoring opportunity.
The Lions added single runs in the third and fourth before breaking the game open with an eight-run fifth for the 12-0 final.
AIC returns to the northeast and opens Richard F. Bedard Field on Tuesday, March 18 with a 3:30 p.m. game against Saint Michael's College.
