Field Hockey drops close contest with No. 6 Saint Anselm

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire - The American International College field hockey team dropped a tight, 1-0 battle with Northeast-10 Conference foe No. 6 Saint Anselm College on Wednesday, October 18.

AIC is now 6-8 overall and 3-7 in the NE10.

Taylor Wildes was busy in the net in the first, making three stops as the Hawks earned six penalty corners. Morgan Martellio also came up with a defensive save on Abby Breznyak.

After the second went by without a shot on goal, the Hawks broke the shutout in the third, as Millie Forster fired the ball into the left corner of the net at 11:21.

Saint Anselm's defense held off AIC from there to grab the win.

AIC's next contest is Saturday, October 21 at Pace University.
