Men's basketball falls on the road to Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, New York - The American International College men's basketball team played Le Moyne College for the second time in a week on Wednesday, February 16. AIC fell 80-57 in Northeast-10 Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Dolphins came out and took a 10-2 lead in the first three minutes of play. Junior Walter Covington hit a three with 16:31 on the clock that put some pep in the Yellow Jackets' step. Sophomore Jalen Jordan had a block on the other end and junior Frankyn Batista finished a layup to make it a three-point game.
  • Graduate Xion Golding hit a layup as time expired to make it 38-28 in favor of the home team at the break.
  • Trailing 46-31 Golding hit a layup off the pass from Batista that started a 13-4 AIC run and made it a six-point game at 50-44.
  • Le Moyne controlled the final 12 minutes of the game as they protected their homecourt by a score of 80-57.

  • The Yellow Jackets will host Pace University on Saturday, February 19 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Before the game, the team will honor the senior class.
