Falcons sneak past Ice Hockey despite Lundy's first goal

WALTHAM, Massachusetts - John Lundy's first collegiate goal put the American International College ice hockey team up early, but Bentley University ultimately earned a 3-1 Atlantic Hockey Association win on Friday, November 3 to split the two-game set.

AIC is now 2-5-0 overall and 1-1-0-0-0-0 in the AHA.

Lundy's goal came on a power play, as Brian Kramer fired a pass from the center point to the left side for Dustin Manz. Manz snapped the puck toward the net and Lundy was waiting on the right post to tap in the first tally of his AIC career at 4:08.

The Falcons tied the game on a power play of their own; right off the faceoff, Ethan Leyh fired home the equalizer into the top right of the cage at 10:27.

In the second period, the Falcons took their first lead of the series; Nik Armstrong-Kingkade found the target at 16:56.

AIC battled, but could not find the equalizer; Armstrong-Kingkade iced it with his second of the night into the empty net with 0.2 seconds remaining for the 3-1 final.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Thursday, November 9 at 7:05 p.m. when they open a two-game home-and-home series with The College of the Holy Cross at the MassMutual Center.
