Men's lacrosse falls short at Saint Rose

ALBANY, New York - The American International College men's lacrosse team dropped a Northeast-10 Conference battle with The College of Saint Rose 15-6 on Saturday, April 1.

AIC is now 2-7 with an 0-4 NE10 mark.

The Golden Knights had a strong first half, holding AIC to just one goal, an early man-up marker from Devon Walker that Sal Amaral assisted on at 4:19. The hosts led 10-1 at the break.

The second half was more even; Rusty Stone scored twice in the third for the Yellow Jackets, and AIC scored the final three of thhe game as Sean Soper, Andrew Boyer, and Jason Vickery each struck in a 2:06 span down the stretch; Boyer also earned an assist on Vickery's tally.

Hayden Gaudette made nine saves in the first three frames, while Ben Fitzsimmons stopped three of four shots in the final quarter.

The men head to Bentley University to continue NE10 play on Wednesday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m.
