NEW HAVEN, Connecticut - The American International College men's soccer team fell 2-1 to the University of New Haven on Tuesday, October 8 in a Northeast-10 Conference contest.
AIC is now 0-5-3 overall and 0-2-2 in the NE10.
Pau Santanach finished a passing play involving Albert Porqueras and Luke Fiscella at 11:09 to give New Haven a 1-0 lead.
The score stood there until the 79th minute when there was a flurry of action. AIC tied the game as Nicholas Chapman set up Pietro Botasson for his second of the season at 78:05.
However, the Chargers regained the lead just 15 seconds later as Mattia Maiello found Santanach open for a scoring bid that hit the net and proved to be the deciding tally.
Lucas Morales-Fernandez made six saves in the setback.
AIC next plays Wednesday, October 16 in a nonconference game at Mercy University.
