Track opens indoor season at UConn Husky Challenge

STORRS, Connecticut - The American International College track and field teams opened the 2024-25 indoor season at the UConn Husky Challenge on Friday, December 6.

On the women's side, AIC's top finisher was Fransiscah Cherotich. She blazed through the 1000-meter run in 3:24.48, and completed the 3000-meter run in 11:59.37, taking second place in both events.

For the men, Joel Lisoma scored in the triple jump, taking third with a leap of 12.90 meters. Chris Dias took second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:05.86.

The team next competes on Friday, January 10 at the Spartan Invitational.
