Cross Country opens 2023 at Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational

AMHERST, Massachusetts - The American International College cross country team opened the 2023 campaign at the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational, hosted by the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Both the men and the women finished third.

Franciscah Cherotich had the top finish for the women, taking third in a time of 14:32.8 for the four-kilometer course. On the men's side, Tyler Safstrom was AIC's top finisher, taking 17th in 22:10.6 over the six-kilometer race.

The teams return to action on Saturday, September 16 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
