Sadadine Adam qualifies for Cross Country Nationals with 10th-place finish at East Regional

HOPKINTON, New Hampshire - Sadadine Adam of the American International College men's cross country team was the top finisher not on one of the top three teams at the NCAA Division II East Region Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 4, earning an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II National Championship as a result.

Adam showed remarkable consistency across the 10-kilometer race, with all of his two-kilometer splits between 6:11 and 6:22. His final time of 31:27 represented a personal best for his career by more than a minute and a half, and placed him 10th overall, earning All-Region accolades as well. 

AIC's two other competitors, Tyler Safstrom and Nicholas O'Connell, finished in 34:22.6 and 34:32.9, respectively, in 85th and 90th place.

Adam will compete at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Missouri for a national title on Saturday, November 18.
