MANCHESTER, New Hampshire - The American International College women's basketball team faced Southern New Hampshire University in a non-conference matchup on Sunday, November 28 falling by a score of 82-55.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • SNHU jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter before junior guard Kyla Smith had an old-school three-point play to get the Yellow Jackets on the board. The Penmen controlled the first 10 minutes of play as they led 24-9.
  • With under a minute and a half remaining in the first quarter, the Yellow Jacket chipped away at their deficit to make it a dozen at the break.
  • Rookie Nora Young opened the second half by scoring the first four points on the game on back-to-back possessions to bring it under double digits.
  • SNHU outscored the Yellow Jackets 26-13 and 17-15 in the final two quarters of play as they took the game 82-55.
