RIDGE, New Hampshire - The American International College women's basketball team fell 55-47 in Northeast-10 Conference action at Franklin Pierce on Thursday, February 10.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Ravens controlled the first quarter as they led 20-9 at the end of the first 10 minutes.
  • Trailing 23-13 sophomore Kayla Robinson hit a fastbreak layup with 6:36 on the clock to spark the Yellow Jackets. Two AIC possessions later classmate Julia Carbonell Munoz found the bottom of the nylon on a layup to bring the deficit under double digits and force a Raven timeout. The run didn't stop there as graduate Sara Guntin Barriero swished a jumper to make it 26-19. Rookie Nora Young made it a five-point game with 2:41 on the clock. At the break, the Ravens led 33-23.
  • The two teams were almost even through the final 20 minutes as the team tied with 11 points in the third before the Yellow Jackets won the fourth quarter 13-11 but lost the game 55-47.
