Early run leads SNHU past women's basketball

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire - The American International College women's basketball team lost 65-48 to Southern New Hampshire University in a Northeast-10 Conference game on Wednesday, February 15.

AIC is now 14-12 on the year with a 10-8 NE10 mark.

Though Kayla Robinson opened the scoring, the Penmen went on a 20-point run, ultimately leading 25-6 after one.

Despite strong shooting nights from Robinson and Taylor Tomlinson, who combined to go 11-of-24 from the field, the Yellow Jackets could not overcome the early deficit.

Robinson led AIC with 15 points and collected five steals to become the first NE10 player with over 60 swipes on the season; she has 63 on the year. Tomlinson had 12 and a team-best seven rebounds. Nora Young scored eight points and six rebounds off the bench.

The team returns home on Saturday, February 18 for Senior Day against Southern Connecticut State University at 1:30 p.m.
