Wrestling competes at Ted Reese Invitational

PORTLAND, Maine - The American International College wrestling team competed at the University of Southern Maine's Ted Reese Invitational on Saturday, December 2.

AIC entered two competitors at 133. Aaron Morocho took sixth, going 3-3 with pins of Plymouth State's Nick Savariego and Southern Maine's Vinny Keeler and a 2-1 decision over WPI's Charlie Pavis.

At 174, Jack MacKiernan pinned two opponents, winning via fall over Anthony Mazza of Maine Maritime and Joe Tully of WPI before being forced to withdraw due to injury.

Markys Lissaint earned two wins at 184, taking a 9-2 decision over Southern Maine's AJ Robinson and then winning 8-4 over Cruz Henton of Castleton. Matt Bremner also earned a win at 184, pinning the host's Aaron Foley Pratt 2:20 in.

The team next heads to Castleton for a dual on Friday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m.
