Women's soccer gets past Daemen

AMHERST, New York - The American International College women's soccer team defeated Daemen University 2-1 on Sunday, September 3.

AIC is now 2-0-0 on the season.

The Yellow Jackets struck first midway through the opening half. Hannah Storozuk set up Cameron Wilbur for her first of the season at 22:11. 

The Wildcats tied the game late in the half, but AIC broke the deadlock before the break, with Charlotte Bernard knocking in her first of the campaign at 42:38.

From there, the defense and goalkeeping for the Yellow Jackets kept Daemen off the board; Tia Kelk stopped three shots in the second half to earn her first collegiate win.

The Yellow Jackets return home on Saturday, September 9 at 3:00 p.m. to host Caldwell University.
