Women's Soccer strikes first but falls to New Haven

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - A late pair of goals pushed the University of New Haven past the American International College women's soccer team, 2-1, in the team's Northeast-10 Conference opener on Saturday, September 16.

AIC is now 2-1-0 on the year and 0-1-0 in the NE10.

Hannah Storozuk started AIC off with an incredible goal, bending in a corner kick to the right post for her second of the season at 21:08.

In the second half, the Chargers scored twice in 4:20 of play, with Angelina Schilling and Riley Drosopolous netting goals in the 72 and 76th minutes to flip the score to New Haven.

Sara Avery took the loss, making one save.

The Yellow Jackets will look to bounce back at Pace on Saturday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m.
