Women's tennis falls to Bentley, Adelphi

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Bentley University on Tuesday, October 3 and then fell 7-0 to Adelphi University on the road on Wednesday, October 4.

AIC is now 1-4 overall and 1-4 in Northeast-10 Conference play.

Against Bentley, Natalija Vlacic and Victoria Azcona swept first doubles, and thanks to Charlotte Tvelia and Taisha Jones taking third doubles 7-5, secured the doubles point. 

Vlacic also won first singles, 6-2, 6-2 over Adriana Hiraldo, and Jones won fifth singles 6-2, 6-3 against Libby Keefe, but the Falcons took the other four singles matches to win 4-3. 

AIC returns to action Saturday, October 7 at 12:00 p.m. against Southern New Hampshire University.
