Bio

American International College named Chris Mills its Director of Cross Country & Track and Field on June 5, 2023. He will lead all aspects of AIC's programs.

Mills comes to AIC from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, where he served as the head coach of the cross country and track programs there from 2016 through 2023. While there, he increased the number of student-athletes on the team from 30 to 70 in a two-year span as he oversaw all aspects of the program.

In the 2023 outdoor season, four student-athletes earned Northeast Conference All-Conference honors, including Malachai Aiken, who was the ECAC/IC4A Champion in the triple jump and an NCAA Division I Regional Qualifier in the event.

Mills is no stranger to the East Region of NCAA Division II, having served as the head track and field coach at Holy Family University from 2014-16. He provided leadership and oversight to 38 student-athletes and a staff of four coaches. In his time, he improved the program’s academic and community service initiatives as well.

Mills is a St. Francis College alum, having earned a bachelor’s degree from the institution in 1998 in social studies. He went on to earn a master’s degree in administration from Touro College in Manhattan in 2001. While a student-athlete at St. Francis College, he was NEC Champion in the 800-meter run in 1996 and 1997.
