Compliance
The compliance office staff works to ensure that coaches, staff, and student-athletes are adhering to all applicable NCAA and conference rules on a day-to-day basis. The compliance staff strives to provide answers to questions and interpretation requests within 24-48 hours, depending upon the complexity of the question and whether consultation with the conference office or the NCAA is necessary.
The fundamental mission of the athletic compliance office is to maintain the institution's integrity in the area of athletic rules compliance. Further, it supports the athletic department in maintaining intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the overall educational program and the athlete as an integral part of the student body.
Each individual involved in intercollegiate athletics is required to maintain competency with respect to knowledge of the rules, to act within his or her realm of responsibility in full compliance with the governing legislation, and to report any violation of NCAA, conference and/or institutional rules of which he or she is aware.
The links provided below offer general information about NCAA rules, but should not be considered by any means a full description of what is permissible or impermissible. You are encouraged to always ask before you act!
