SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College baseball team was shut out twice, 11-0 and 9-0, by Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference play on Saturday, April 20.
AIC is now 11-23 overall and 5-13 in the NE10.
The Ravens jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a first-inning home run in game one and never looked back, tacking on three in the second and a five-run eighth for the 11-0 win. They then scored once in the first and third and twice in the fourth before breaking the second game open with five in the sixth for the 9-0 victory.
Jackson Haker had a strong day at the dish, going 3-for-6 with a walk and a stolen base.
The Yellow Jackets will look to bounce back on Sunday, April 21 with a doubleheader against Saint Michael's College at Bedard Field beginning at noon.
