Bio

Seth Dussault '11/'15 is in his seventeenth season with the athletic communications staff and sixth full season as the College's Coordinator of Athletic Communications, serving as the primary contact for the college's athletic teams.

Dussault is best known for serving behind the microphone at AIC as the lead play-by-play commentator for the ice hockey team as well as providing both play-by-play and analysis for most of the college's other teams on its webcasts. In addition to his broadcasting duties, Dussault has been heavily involved in the media aspect of the athletics program at AIC since his arrival as a student in the fall of 2007. In addition to his broadcasting duties, he was a member of the Yellow Jacket newspaper staff for over six years, earning the title of Sports Editor in 2008, a job he performed through 2015. He also was the Sports Editor of the Taper Yearbook in 2011.

He has been behind the mic for a number of firsts in AIC broadcasting history, including the first women’s lacrosse and first road ice hockey broadcasts in the spring of 2009, and the first field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, volleyball and men’s lacrosse broadcasts during the 2009-10 seasons. Overall, Dussault has called over 2000 games for the Yellow Jackets, and the ice hockey contest at Niagara University on January 20, 2012 was his 100th ice hockey broadcast. He also provided coverage of the women's soccer team's 2013 run to the NCAA Semifinal as the team won its first-ever East Region Championship and of the ice hockey team's Atlantic Hockey Conference Championship and subsequent NCAA Tournament win over No. 1 St. Cloud State in 2019.

Dussault earned the 2017 Team Asset Award from the women's lacrosse squad, and in 2018 earned the first-ever Gary Wright Award from the ice hockey team and was named the Most Dedicated Yellow Jacket of the Year by the athletic department.

Additionally, Dussault has served a number of local sports teams, working as a broadcaster and then the Director of Communications for the Springfield Pics of the United States Premier Hockey League from 2016-18. While with the team, he directed the design of the team's new website. He also works with the Westfield Starfires of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, serving as the team's statistician in its inaugural summer of 2019 and then as its first play-by-play voice beginning with the 2020 campaign. 

A native of Easthampton, Massachusetts, Dussault graduated from Easthampton High School in 2007. He earned his Bachelor’s in history in May 2011, graduating with honors. He then earned a Master's in special education in December 2015.

Dussault is the son of Tina Mattei (Dussault) and the nephew of the late Raymond Laflam; he is the proud uncle of his nephews Connor, Chase, Colin, and Isaac, and niece Freya.
