Quartet from Football named NE10 All-Conference
MANSFIELD, Massachusetts - Four members of the American International College football team earned Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference honors, the league office announced on Thursday, November 16.
Sidiki Kone and Michael Grant earned Second-Team All-Conference, while Marcus Thurston and Chris Chasia took All-Rookie nods.
Kone was AIC's featured back and collected 1083 all-purpose yards on the season, just shy of 100 per game, and led the team with seven rushing touchdowns.
Grant was a powerhouse on the offensive line, dropping the quarterback 4.5 times among nine tackles for loss. He also forced a fumble.
Thurston played six games in his first campaign and averaged 5.8 yards per carry, scoring his first collegiate touchdown against Pace.
Chasia was a wall on defense, finishing second on the team with 68 tackles. Six went for losses. He also collected an interception.
