- The Skyhawks had their largest lead with 11:51 on the clock as Christopher Melis hit a layup that made it a 23-12 game.
- AIC started to chip away as senior Shyheim Hicks nailed a three off a pass from Miller. With 6:16 remaining in the first frame, Miller hit a pull-up jumper that sparked an AIC run. Over the next 5:47, the Yellow Jackets went on an 11-2 run and cut it to a one-point game 32-31.
- The Skyhawks scored four points in the last 40 seconds to take a 36-31 lead into the locker room.
- The second half started in favor of the Skyhawks as they went on a 19-6 run over the first six and a quarter minutes.
- Just past the halfway point of the half, junior Walter Covington hit a triple to gain some momentum. Over the next 3:30, the Yellow Jackets went on a 7-1 run to cut their deficit to 14. Hicks brought it within 11 as he swished a three to make it 67-56.
- With 1:42 on the clock, rookie Carlos Hubb made it a 10-point game. On the other end of the court, Hicks stole the pass and was fouled attempting a shot. At the line, he made both to cut the deficit to eight. That was the closest the Yellow Jackets got as Stonehill took the game 80-70.
