SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College men's lacrosse team fell 19-3 to No. 17 Saint Anselm College in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup on Tuesday, April 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Early on, both teams struggled to score, most notably when an early bid off of a turnover gave Sean Tomaszewski an opportunity to fire into an empty net, but defender Nick Mackay came up with a block.

- Chase Lilly opened the scoring at 6:57 for the Hawks and that started an 11-0 run, broken before halftime when Rusty Stone took a pass from Clark Marchand and drilled it home with 2:04 left in the second quarter.
- The Hawks scored the first three of the third before Sal Amaral struck with a gorgeous goal on a pass from Stephen Stratton at 5:13. At the 45-minute mark, Saint Anselm led 16-2.
- Amaral scored AIC's only goal of the fourth, on a pass from Stone at 9:56, as the Hawks took the win 19-3.
