American International College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Kristen Hutchison ‘02/’04 announced the hiring of Jen Peel as assistant coach on June 29, 2022. Peel will assist in all aspects of the program.

Peel is no stranger to the Northeast-10 Conference, having graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2021. In 51 games over three seasons, she was a key contributor, helping the team qualify for the 2020 NCAA Tournament, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

In addition to her playing experience, Peel, who was a six-time Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll selection, served as assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2021-22. The Beacons qualified for the Little East Conference Championship Tournament.

While at Saint Anselm, Peel earned a bachelor of science in business, graduating with a 3.6 GPA. She also served as a social media marketing intern for the Hawks football team as a junior. Prior to her college career, she graduated from Mansfield (MA) High School, where she set the Hornets program record for assists and was Hockomock League Player of the Year in 2016-17.
