Bernard, Avery earn plaudits from Northeast-10 Conference for Women's Soccer
MANSFIELD, Massachusetts - Two members of the American International College women's soccer team earned Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference accolades for their play in the 2023 season, the conference office officially announced on Wednesday, November 8.
Forward Charlotte Bernard was named a Third-Team All-Conference selection, while All-Rookie Team honors were bestowed upon goalkeeper Sara Avery.
Bernard sparkled in her final season as a Yellow Jacket. The Quebec City, Quebec native led the team with six goals and 16 points, tying as well for the top spot on the squad with four assists. Among her strikes were the game-winning goals against Daemen University and Southern Connecticut State University.
Avery took control of the starting assignment in net from the outset of her inaugural collegiate campaign and led all rookies in the NE10 with a .712 save percentage. She went 6-6-1 on the season, collecting six shutouts and holding the opposition to one or zero goals in nine of her 12 starts.
