WORCESTER, Massachusetts - Two soccer teams threw everything they could at the nets. Three goalkeepers stood tall and turned it all back.
The American International College women's soccer team and Assumption University ended as they began, scoreless, in a Northeast-10 Conference contest on Saturday, November 2.
AIC is now 5-6-5 with a 1-4-5 NE10 record.
The action was lighter in the first half, as Sara Avery made just one stop in the opening 45 minutes; on the other end, Kaylah Seavey stopped AIC's first bid at target before yielding to Frida Larsson, who saved three chances.
However, in the second, thanks in part to a series of corner kicks, both netminders were busier. Larsson had to contend with 11 AIC attempts, five of which were on the mark, and she shut them all down. Avery needed to make three stops in her net out of six total Assumption shots.
When the final horn sounded, neither side had relented.
AIC has one remaining regular season game, as the Yellow Jackets host Bentley University on Wednesday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m.
