
Cross Country competes at NE10 Championship
CONTOCOOK, New Hampshire - The American International College cross country team competed at the 2024 Northeast-10 Conference Cross Country Championship on Sunday, October 27, with AIC's men taking 10th and the women 9th of 11 teams.
The men's eight-kilometer race was first, and AIC was paced by AJ Meyer, who completed the course in 27:19.1, with Ben Stevenson next for the Yellow Jackets at 28:11.0.
The women's race was next, and in the six-kilometer contest, Fransiscah Cherotich was AIC's top performer, clocking a time of 24:32.2, with Lillie Kaempfe close behind at 24:57.4.
The women's team beat their projected spot in the preseason NE10 Coaches Poll; AIC had been tabbed 10th in the poll.
