WALTHAM, Massachusetts - The American International College men's soccer team lost a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference play on Wednesday, October 23.
AIC is now 0-7-4 overall and 0-3-3 in the NE10.
AIC controlled the first half of play, outshooting the Falcons 4-0, but could not find the net.
In the second half, both teams had chances, but the game seemed destined to be a scoreless draw until the final play. Chad Meyers crossed the ball into the box from the right side, where Parker Higgins deflected it to Evan Levine for a blast from point-blank range that hit the twine with three seconds left on the clock.
AIC returns to action on Saturday, October 26 at Saint Michael's College. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 p.m.
