Sidiki Kone Set to Perform at Pro Day
SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – American International College football senior Sidiki Kone will showcase his abilities on Thursday, March 27, at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, in front of professional scouts as he prepares for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Sidiki, a native of the Bronx, New York, has served as the Yellow Jackets' team captain for the past two seasons, earning second-team All-NE10 honors at running back in both 2023 and 2024. He finished his career at AIC with 1,989 all-purpose yards (1,677 rushing), 17 total touchdowns (15 rushing), and made a significant impact on both offense and special teams for the Yellow Jackets. Over the past three seasons, Sidiki has led AIC's rushing attack in touchdowns.
Sidiki also made a strong impression in this year's FCS Bowl and Tropical Bowl, impressing media observers and draft pundits with his performance throughout the practices and meetings leading up to the games. He was highlighted by Emory Hunt of CBS Sports as the top-performing running back. Hunt writes, "Kone was able to check a ton of boxes during this week's event. He's a well-put-together prospect who showcased the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and excelled in blitz pickup. Combining that with his ability as a runner, he's building a lot of positive momentum during this all-star circuit, as he also stood out in the FCS Bowl."
While football fans across the nation are growing excited for the upcoming draft, Sidiki remains grounded and focused as ever. "I can't wait to showcase my abilities in front of all the scouts," Kone says. "I've never been better, and I'm feeling stronger and more explosive than ever. I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I'm looking forward to making my family and loved ones proud."
Sidiki is also balancing his training with his faith. "This is the month of Ramadan, so I'm fasting, praying, and making sure I stay spiritually strong," he says. Additionally, Sidiki notes a verse from the Qur'an: "My success can only come from Allah." (Qur'an 11:88)
The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday.
