SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College ice hockey team dropped a 6-1 Atlantic Hockey America contest against Bentley University on Tuesday, January 21.
AIC is now 7-16-1 overall and 5-11-0-0-0-2 in the AHA.
Artem Buzoverya started the scoring for the Falcons at 6:22, but AIC rebounded to tie the game shortly after. Timofei Khokhlachev fired a pass back to the point for Brett Bamber, and the defenseman found Josh Barnes open near the netfront for his team-best 11th of the season at 8:22.
Arlo Merritt then put the Falcons back in the lead at 11:51.
Bentley tacked on four goals in the second period for the 6-1 final.
Peyton Grainer and Adam Manji split time in net, making 21 and 18 saves respectively.
AIC next faces Canisius University at the MassMutual Center on Friday, January 24 at 1:05 p.m.
