
Jeffries-Hazard leads track at NE10 Outdoor Championship
HOOKSETT, New Hampshire - The American International College track and field team competed at the 2025 Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship on May 2-3 at Southern New Hampshire University.
The men's team finished 8th, while the women's team finished 9th.
Johnelle Thomas finished fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.70 second. She, along with Monique Malcolm, Sadiyah Edmunds, and Jada Carvahlo, also scored a point with an eighth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 54.18 seconds.
For the men, Justin Baker took seventh in the 100-meter dash in 10.97 seconds, while Ayoub El Fahim and Kevin Baker were fourth and sixth in the 200-meter dash with times of 22.01 and 22.29 seconds respectively.
Joel Lisoma took eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.41 seconds, while Chris Dias finished fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 10:06.00. Rounding out the running, Mike Ricketts, El Fahim, Baker, and Kevin Brady medaled with a third-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay at 41.37 seconds.
The star of AIC's performance was Kareem Jeffries-Hazard. His 51.07-meter throw in the hammer was good for a silver medal, as he finished second and added eight points to AIC's total.
