
Guevara, O'Leary named CSC Academic All-District for Baseball
GREENWOOD, Indiana – A pair of student-athletes on the American International College baseball team earned 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, the organization announced on Tuesday, June 3.

Leandro Guevara and Vaughn O'Leary were the two selections.
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and hold a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 on a four-point scale, and must have appeared in 90 percent or started at least 66 percent of a team's games; pitchers must have pitched 35 or more innings or made at least 17 appearances.
Both earned their first selections with AIC.
Guevara was a First-Team All-East Region selection by the ABCA, D2CCA, and NCBWA following a season where he hit .338 with 13 doubles, seven home runs, 33 runs scored, and 33 runs batted in. He also earned Northeast 10 Conference First-Team All-Conference honors as well as an All-Defensive Team selection. He is a business major.
O'Leary was a fixture atop AIC's rotation for the NE10's Southwest Division Champions, making nine starts on the mound. The lefty threw 49 innings and fanned 36, posting a 5.88 ERA. He is a criminal justice major.
In addition to the Academic All-District selection, Guevara advanced to the Academic All-America ballot; CSC members will vote on those deemed to have the necessary academic and athletic accomplishments to earn the prestigious award.
