Women's lacrosse falls at No. 19 Assumption
WORCESTER, Massachusetts - The American International College women's lacrosse team fell to No. 19 Assumption University 19-10 in a Northeast-10 Conference contest on Saturday, April 2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Greyhounds jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Isabelle Stone scored AIC's first of the game just before the midpoint of the first quarter. The hosts netted three more, but Liz Day fed Kathryn Moody for a strike to bring AIC within 5-2 through one.
- The Greyhounds took advantage of a pair of yellow cards to score three early goals in the second, but Day answered with a man-down goal and Molly Leavitt notched a goal with 3:29 to go in the half. However, Ella Tenney scored once and set up another before the half ended, sending Assumption to the locker room with a 10-4 advantage.
- The goals came fast and furious in the third, as Antonella Mikolyuk scored twice for AIC and Jordyn Galgay added another, but Assumption led 17-7 after 45 minutes.
- In the final frame, AIC went on a run. Day and Mikolyuk each scored again, and Mikolyuk also set up Elly Macdonald. Ultimately, it was not enough however, as the nation's 19th-ranked team won 19-10.
