To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a four-point scale and either start two-thirds or play in at least 90 percent of their team's games. Each institution with a CSC membership may nominate up to four student-athletes.
Flores Marrero earned her first Academic All-District selection, adding another significant academic award to her resume following being selected as the Northeast-10 Conference's Women's Volleyballl Elite 24 Award winner, given to the student-athlete with the highest grade-point average at the site of the NE10 Championship. The human biology major has a 3.96 GPA, and played in every one of AIC's 28 matches in 2024. The defensive stalwart accumulated 200 digs and 384 receptions, successfully receiving serves at a 95.5 percent rate.
Di Francesco garnered her second consecutive Academic All-District selection, having earned the distinction in 2023 as well. The general business major has posted a 3.71 GPA, and earned her second consecutive NE10 All-Conference selection in 2024, taking Third-Team All-Conference accolades. She appeared in 27 matches, dishing out a team-best 521 assists and recording 193 digs, while her 47 aces ranked fourth in the conference.
In addition to the All-District selection, Di Francesco has been advanced to the Academic All-America ballot. The student-athletes who are selected meet the academic requirements for Academic All-District, and also show elite athletic achievements. CSC members vote on the winners, who will be announced on January 14, 2025.
