HENRY A. BUTOVA GYMNASIUM
Originally opened December 1, 1965, the Henry A. Butova Gymnasium is the home of the American International College basketball, volleyball, and wrestling programs. The facility is named in honor of the longtime coach and administrator Henry A. Butova.
The main arena has a seating capacity of 2,500, with bleachers on both sides of the main court, and is equipped to accommodate radio and television broadcasts of events as well as live streaming through the NE10Now Network.
The facility has undergone many improvements in its nearly six decades of service. A new lighting system was installed during the summer of 2018, and the floor was completely resurfaced to include updated branding in 2019. In addition, a new state-of-the-art digital scoreboard was also installed in 2019.
In addition to home matches for AIC’s teams, the Butova Gym serves as an indoor training facility for all of AIC’s varsity athletic teams and includes a drop-down batting cage.
