Bio

Mike Lavato '08 was elevated to Assistant Director of Athletic Event Operations in May 2016, and to Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations in June 2023. He is responsible for all aspects of scheduling games and practices at AIC, along with rentals of AIC's facilities, as well as in-game management of home contests. 

Prior to taking his current position, Lavato was an assistant baseball coach from 2012-2015.

Lavato was a member of the AIC baseball team from 2004-08 and appeared in 53 games, primarily as a relief pitcher, posting a record of 5-8 with three complete games. He was also involved in a pair of shutouts and recorded two saves.

Lavato earned his bachelor’s in sports and recreation management from AIC in 2007 and received his master’s in business administration in 2009.
