
Ellison, Lee lead quintet of NE10 Basketball All-Conference selections
MANSFIELD, Massachusetts - A combined five American International College basketball players were honored by the Northeast-10 Conference on the league's 2023-24 All-Conference teams announced March 5-6.
Justice Ellison was First-Team All-Conference for the men, while Briana Lee took Second-Team All-Conference, Kayla Robinson earned Third-Team All-Conference, Rhaymi Porter was selected to the All-Defensive Team, and Ruzgar Christina Boyle garnered a spot on the All-Rookie squad for the women.
Ellison was an offensive fireball all season long for AIC's men. He led the conference in scoring at 21.9 points per game, and impressively broke the 1000-point barrier for his career in just his second season of play as he notched 634 total points. He added 6.1 rebounds per game as well.
Lee was a force for the women's team. The NE10's second-leading scorer with 18.2 points per game, she was also third in rebounds at 9.4 per game, and led the conference in steals per game with 2.0; she is the only player, for either the men or the women, to be top three in the NE10 in both points and rebounds per game.
Robinson collected her second decoration for AIC after earning an All-Defensive Team nod a year ago; the captain broke the 1000-point barrier for her career early in the campaign and closed out 11th all-time in AIC's history, and notched 13.4 points per game as well as 1.8 steals per game, both top-10 in the conference.
Porter ran off with the NE10's blocks lead in her first season back in the 413; the junior transfer forward smacked down a stunning 80 shots, 2.7 per game, to lead the conference, and also kept the glass clean with 7.8 rebounds per game.
Boyle was a sharpshooter in her first NCAA campaign, with 9.3 points per game. She was one of only four players in the NE10 to drain 50 threes through the release of the all-conference teams, scoring 291 total points.
