Andy Burkholder was elevated to head men's basketball coach entering the 2014-15 season.

In his first season at the helm, Burkholder led the Yellow Jackets to its most successful season in two decades. The Yellow Jackets won their first Northeast-10 Conference Championship since 1994 and hosted the NCAA Division II East Region Championship for the first time in program history.

Coach Burkholder’s first season saw the Yellow Jackets post a record of 24-7, the 10th 20-win season in program history. He was named the BennettRank.com Division II Coach of the Year and NABC East Region Co-Coach of the Year.

Burkholder was previously an assistant under former head coach Art Luptowski from 2005-11 before stepping away from the team to become AIC’s first ever Director of Compliance and start a family.

Burkholder played his college ball at Elizabethtown (Pa.) from 1993-97 and also got his coaching start there as an assistant from 1997-02. In his final year, he helped lead the Blue Jays to a 29-3 record and a berth in the Division III National Championship Game. The players and coaching staff of the 2001-02 team were inducted into the Elizabethtown Hall of Fame in 2012.

He earned his Bachelor’s in Social Work from Elizabethtown in 1997 and his Master’s in Athletic Administration from Springfield College in 2004.
