Bio

Dan Roibal joined the men's basketball staff as assistant coach in August of 2022. He will assist in all aspects of the program.

Roibal comes to AIC with significant experience behind the bench at a high level. He served as assistant director of basketball operations at the Virginia Military Institute during the 2021-22 campaign, where his duties included recruiting, practice planning, film, travel, and equipment management, and supervising team managers. While at VMI, he utilized both Sportscode and Synergy Sports software in fulfilling his duties.

Prior to his time at VMI, he was a graduate assistant coach at Rutgers from 2019-21. His duties included recruiting, preparing scouting reports and coordinating film, strength and conditioning, and equipment management as well as academic advising. In the 10 games played using scouting reports he presented to the team directly, the team posted a 7-3 record. He helped coach a conference defensive player of the year and two first-team all-conference selections as well as recruiting an all-conference player.

As a student-athlete, Roibal played at Drew University from 2015-19. He started 41 games and was captain of the best season in program history as the Rangers compiled a 23-7 record in 2018-19.
